Service Description

The conclusion of the sequence of Roman history courses, looking at the state of the Empire at the time of Constantine’s death, the subsequent Pagan revival under Julian the Apostate, the pressure of the German incursions into the Empire, the disaster of Adrianople, the division of the Empire into an Eastern Empire and a weakened Western one, with the Ostrogoths, Vandals, Suebi, Anglo-Saxons, and the continued weakening of the Western Empire, culminating in the deposing of Augustulus Romulus – an ironic name for a Roman Emperor if there ever was one! – in 476 CE.
